Can I lose weight on the Special K diet if i’m 5′4 120lbs?

kristinport asked:

Hey everyone!

I’m thinking of tring the Special K diet starting next week. I’ll have a bowl of cereal for breakfast, a Special K bar for a snack, then cereal for lunch, and maybe yogurt or fruit for snack, followed by low-cal dinner.

I’ll be exercising 4-5 days a week.

Do you think I can lose 5-10 lbs doing this? I already eat healthy and I work out regularly, but for some reason I haven’t been losing weight – just maintaining.

Any tips/suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Special k diet is a lie because it is all sugar and “empty” calories.

You’re only 120lbs, I don’t see why you would want to lose any weight. Are one of those who achieve to be underweight?

special k is pure sugar and has a small serving size…its very processed and has no nutritional value and is totally unhealthy…processed…dont eat special k…its just crap(but tastes good cuz of all the sugar)…cheerios or oatmeal(old fashioned or reduced sugar)

just a healthy foods diet! fad diets are crap…they dont work and cost money and a dangerous…u just need to learn how to eat healthy…no “low carb bread” or fat free cream cheese” or nothing “diet”…its not healthy…u just need to eat right!

special k is soooo unhealthy

And where’s the protein in that diet? It isn’t a healthy diet, it’s short-term fad diet that won’t help you achieve long-term results. You will lose more weight lifting weights at your local gym’s classes while eating 500 calories less than you burn. It is important to eat a diet that supports your exercising, or else you won’t build lean muscle that burns the most calories, therefore helping you lose the most weight than any fad diet.
